Warriors fall down standings with two tough losses

Saturday, Oct. 2 @ Windsor

Windsor 2, Waterloo 0

The Warriors fell to seventh place in the competitive OUA west division after falling to the Lancers of Windsor 2-0 on Saturday evening.  The game was a highlight of Windsor's homecoming played at the U of W Stadium.

Emilie Glanz (Tecumseh, Ont.) opened the scoring late in the first half and the Lancers never looked back.

Despite chances off the foot of Sarah Pemberton (Waterloo/) (Waterloo, Ont.) and Tara Chadwick (Stratford/) (Stratford, Ont.) the Warriors were unable to even the game at 1 and the Lancers took advantage as hometown girl Nicole Dowell added the insurance marker to give her team the shutout victory.

The Warriors (2-5-1) look to bounce back on Sunday afternoon as they pay a visit to the Western Mustangs (3-3-2).  Waterloo will need at least a draw to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Sunday, Oct. 3 @ Western

Western 7, Waterloo 0

The Warriors lost a tough match to the Western Mustangs who scored early in often in this match.

The Warriors will need to erase the memory of this tough loss as they face the Mustangs and Lancers once again next weekend at home on Saturday, October 9 and Sunday, October 10.
