The Warriors men's rugby team got their 2022 season underway on Sunday afternoon on home field and ran wild on the visiting Trent Excalibur with a big 65-14 win. 

The Warriors scored the first 38 points of the game on six different tries before Trent finally punched one home to make it 38-7. Waterloo would then add five more tries before Trent got one back to make it a 65-14 final.

Leading the way for the Warriors was Thomas Richards who had 15 points on three tries while Josh Eustace (Brantford) punched in two tries while adding four converts for 18 points.

John Greenough, Kevin Oh (Waterloo/), Noah Van Dam, Calum Hayes, and William Nhanala (Waterloo/) all added single tries to round out Waterloo's attack.

The Warriors are back in action this Saturday at 1pm when they welcome the Toronto Varsity Blues to the CIF Lower Field.
