Women's Rugby lost a very tightly contested match on Friday night in Toronto by a score of 22-19 to fall to 0-2 on the season. Despite losing both of their matches, the young Warriors have been right there with both Trent and Toronto and will hope to breakout on top in their next game on Saturday against cross-town rivals Laurier.

Waterloo jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a Faye O'Brien (Waterloo/) try and a successful convert by Philipa Reid.

The Blues scored the next two tries and added one convert to take a 12-7 lead before Ben Skinner (Kitchener/) punched home his second try of the season. Another convert by Reid but the Warriors up 14-12 but the Blues bounced back again with two straight tries to take a 22-14 lead. Skinner would run home another late try but it wasn't enough as the Warriors would fall by a score of 22-19.

Waterloo will be back in action against Laurier on Saturday at 4:30pm at University Stadium.
